| NAMASTE |
Namaste is a traditional gesture made with the hands in prayer position (Anjali Mudra) and can have many meanings but essentially is a greeting that acknowledges the spirit/Divine spark of one person by another. In Sanskrit “Nama” means bow, “as” means I, and “te” means “you”, so Namaste literally means “I bow to you”. In yoga classes Namaste is often said at the beginning or end of a class. |
